Sustainability Efforts

The JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability through a variety of environmental and social initiatives. The hotel holds Green Key certification and has been recognized by Forbes Travel Guide for responsible hospitality. It reports an estimated carbon footprint of 19.86 kg CO₂ and a water footprint of 797.22 liters per room-night, reflecting its efforts to monitor and reduce resource use.

Recent renovations incorporated energy-efficient LED lighting, smart thermostats, and upgraded Grundfos NBE pump systems to improve energy performance and lower emissions. The property practices guest-room recycling and works to minimize waste through sustainable sourcing and biodegradable packaging in its food services.

Its JW Garden supplies fresh herbs used in on-site restaurants, and the hotel emphasizes local craftsmanship and design throughout its interiors.
