Remote and Pre-Recorded Presentations

If you are presenting remotely or plan to provide a pre-recorded presentation, please read the following guidance carefully. It will help ensure your session runs smoothly both for you, and for the attendees.

Presenting Remotely

Before the Event

  1. Access the test Meetecho platform using the link sent to you by email.
  2. Check that your audio and video work correctly.

On the Day of Your Presentation

  1. Access the live Meetecho platform for the meeting.
  2. Make sure your browser has permission to use your camera and microphone.

During Your Presentation

  1. Join Meetecho before the start of the session where your talk is scheduled.
  2. The Tech Team will have already uploaded your presentation to Meetecho.
  3. The Session Chair will promote you to be a speaker when it is your turn.
  4. When your presentation starts, the Tech Team will display your slides and give you control. You can move through your slides using your keyboard arrow keys.
  5. After your talk and any questions from attendees, control will return to the room, and you can continue to take part in the session as an audience member.

Providing a Pre-Recorded Presentation

Pre-recorded presentations are shown as full-screen videos. Your recording should include your camera, audio, and slides visible throughout the talk.

Before the Event

  1. Please email the Tech Team with a link to your video file so they can download it ahead of your session.

On the Day of Your Presentation

  1. If you plan to answer questions live after your video is shown, please access the live Meetecho platform and make sure your audio and video work.

During the Session

  1. If you plan to answer questions, join Meetecho before the start of the session where your video will be shown.
  2. Let the Session Chairs know that you are available to answer questions after your video.
  3. Once your video finishes, and if you are available, your camera feed will appear on screen so you can answer questions from the audience.
