Abstract
The European Commission's upcoming proposed Digital Networks Act is proposing to fundamentally reshape telecoms regulation for Europe. This has the potential to affect not just telecoms operators, but could usher new regulations and processes that affect the Open Internet more broadly.
This talk will briefly describe the recent political history that has led to the DNA proposal, and highlight some of the possible changes that could impact Internet networks, services, and users.

Mike Blanche
Mike has 30 years experience in the Internet infrastructure business, from founding, growing and exiting an early Internet hosting and colocation company, to more recently, 14 years at Google, where he was the first European member of the interconnection and CDN team.
He is now an independent consultant, working on Internet infrastructure technology and policy topics. Mike holds an MA in Engineering and Computer Science from Cambridge University, and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
