RIPE Community Plenary
The RIPE Fellowship was introduced at RIPE 74 with the goal of bringing new voices from across the service region into the community by removing financial barriers to attendance at RIPE Meetings. Eight years on, we’re redesigning the programme with a focus on long-term engagement. In this presentation we will share the changes we have introduced and we will share further instructions for the application process.
In August of 2025, a hacker camp called WHY2025 took place in the Netherlands. A group of RIPE NCC employees and fellows ran a RIPE community village, networking face to face with the visitors of the camp, trying to make them aware that it is actually the RIPE community that makes the rules about the Internet, hoping to bring more newcomers to the RIPE community.
This will show my work in the RIPE community in the last 10. The presentation is to inspire young talent to work more in the community.
This session will provide the RIPE NCC community with an update on IANA’s current priorities and how they align with the IANA 2030 strategy. Beginning with a focus on the services IANA provides to the numbers community, the discussion will place those services in the broader context of IANA’s work across names, numbers, and protocols.
