Abstract
In August of 2025, a hacker camp called [WHY2025](https://why2025.org/) took place in the Netherlands. A group of RIPE NCC employees and fellows ran a [RIPE community village](https://wiki.why2025.org/Village:RIPE_Community), networking face to face with the visitors of the camp, trying to make them aware that it is actually the RIPE community that makes the rules about the Internet, hoping to bring more newcomers to the RIPE community.
